About.
Youngest daughter of the heads of the Yun Conglomerate, Jisoo grew up knowing she wasn't the favoured child, always compared to her diligent and responsible older sister, Jia. Though never a bad child, without the weight of inheriting the conglomerate on her shoulders, Jisoo was carefree and less worried about hours of studying than her parents would have liked. Always social, Jisoo quickly became the girl who was everyone's friend, with many admirers who wanted to follow in her footsteps.
As such, when she was old enough to create a social media account, Jisoo quickly made a following and a name for herself - both among the friends and admirers of her high class bubble, as well as the rest of the country. Whether people were following her because they genuinely liked her, or hate following as they criticised the excess and luxury of chaebol life, it was undeniable that Jisoo was the name on everyone's lips almost as soon as she turned 14.
And that kind of notoriety means that she was soon rolling in offers for photoshoots, sponsorships, and all sorts of things. Knowing her parents - old fashioned about what their reputation should be - would never agree to sign the contracts, Jisoo turned to Jia, hoping her sister (now the age of majority) would understand and agree to it.
That turned out not to be the case, and the sisters' relationship - always slightly strained by their parents' need to compare - fractured further. Jisoo pissed off at the fact her sister wouldn't agree to letting her do any kind of work until she was "older"; Jia frustrated that Jisoo is so rebellious against their parents' plans. Frustrated and jealous that Jisoo gets to be rebellious like that. But Jisoo wasn't ready to give up on her chance to start a potentially lucrative career of her own, and looked into more and more ways of circumventing the drawbacks of not being old enough to sign a contract on her own.
After several months, and her 15th birthday passing, Jisoo is contacted by a magazine director who tells her that he is happy to pay her under the table if she wants to do some modelling work for a new magazine he's trying to launch. Too excited by this potential foothold into the business to see the warning signs, Jisoo immediately agrees to meet him at a quayside warehouse, where hired goons hauled her into the back of a van, holding her for ransom.
It's this event which reveals to Jisoo that Jia is also a superhero, rescuing her sister from the back of the van and dragging her home. What should have been a happy reunion after something terrifying quickly devolved into an argument, Jisoo against her sister and parents as they painted her as out of control and in need of tighter reins. Grounded and on a social media ban, Jisoo's resentment of her family grew, and like any teenager, she pushed back by getting a friend to buy her a burner phone, skipping her after school tutoring to try and have fun. These attempts were too obvious to be successful, and her punishment was extended to cover the rest of the school year.
Feeling so restricted by her punishments, tired of being under her parents' thumb, Jisoo would use any computer time she could get at school to search up ways of getting out. Messaging agents and agencies who might be seeking models and influencers to represent, or those who had already shown interest, while she searched for her own apartment, fudging her age in an attempt to circumvent being too young to sign contracts without a guardian.
At sixteen, Jisoo finally finds people willing to let her rent a room - uni students who just need someone to split the rent into slightly smaller portions. It's slumming it, compared to where she grew up, but Jisoo feels relieved to have her freedom and really starts making headway in her influencer/model career. But, as she ran away from home, her parents order her older sister to go and get her. However, even Jia is beginning to resent their parents, undergoing her own character development through her time as a superhero, and beginning to see why Jisoo and the general public seem so sour on the Yun Conglomerate founders (and their kind in general).
Jia finds her and, after a heated argument, finally relents and decides to let Jisoo stay here, noticing how much happier her sister seems away from their parents' control. Slowly, some of the fractures begin to repair between the sisters - Jisoo knows Jia will catch shit for not succeeding at something her parents asked (for the first time) and Jia, much to her sister's surprise, doesn't back down on her choice to let Jisoo continue to live in the flatshare.
[This is where she gets in trouble again and Jia saves her for the second time, and soon after that, Jia confides in Jisoo that she thinks their parents are responsible for some of the shit she's been dealing with lately. Jisoo like "tbh take them down, they ain't shit". Cheering her sister on while she dismantles the corruption going on and continuing to gain fame in her career. Cue the post-corruption peace, where Jia invites Jisoo to move in with her, their relationship continues to improve, and both girls continue to work their way through their chosen career paths.]
